Flexible Newborn Care

Flexible Newborn Care

I work closely with both parents  (I think of myself  as your coach) and offer the same care as outlined in Traditional Newborn Care for the first seven days to ten days to show you everything from swaddling, feeding positions, how to establish routines that will enhance feeding and sleeping habits and then help you to practice these techniques.  I do my best to answer all of your questions.

I will show you how to start and maintain a baby log for the first few months and demonstrate how it can be a crucial tool for figuring out natural schedules and decoding fussy behaviors

The main difference in Traditional and Flexible Newborn Care is how we use my time.  I still work a 24 hour day* for the first 7 or 10 days.  After that, I go to a ten hour night duty schedule.  We can talk about the start time but usually parents like 10pm to 8am.  I am flexible in this decision.

Two Choices – Your Decision

*24 hour care requires me to be a live in and I have a 5 hour break to stay rested.
